By enrolling in, accessing, or participating in any continuing education course (“Course” or “Courses”) offered by Lelia Marino/The Sacral Healing Garden, you agree to the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.
1. Purpose of the Courses
This Course are intended for educational and professional development purposes only. They are designed to support doulas, nurses, midwives, lactation professionals, and other birth and healthcare-adjacent professionals in expanding knowledge and skills related to perinatal care.
The Course do not provide medical, legal, or clinical advice and are not a substitute for formal education, licensure, or supervision by a qualified professional.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
All Course materials—including but not limited to videos, lectures, slides, written content, handouts, worksheets, assessments, recordings, and downloadable resources—are the exclusive intellectual property of Lelia Marino/The Sacral Healing Garden, unless otherwise stated.
Materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, share, record, sell, license, or publicly display Course content without prior written permission.
Unauthorized use, copying, or redistribution of Course materials may result in removal from the Course and potential legal action.
3. Licensure and Continuing Education Disclaimer
Completion of a Course may qualify for continuing education (CE) depending on the participant’s professional licensure and governing board.
We do not guarantee acceptance of CE credits by any specific licensing board, employer, or regulatory agency.
Participants are responsible for confirming whether a Course meets the requirements of their individual licensing or credentialing body (e.g., New York State Education Department, professional associations, employers).
Certificates of completion will be issued based on attendance and participation but do not confer licensure or certification.
4. User Obligations for CE Documentation
To receive a certificate of completion or CE documentation, participants must:
Complete all required course components (e.g., attendance, modules, assessments, evaluations)
Provide accurate identifying information (name, email, credentials if applicable)
Retain their own copies of certificates for licensure, employment, or audit purposes
While we maintain course records in accordance with reasonable educational standards, participants are ultimately responsible for maintaining their own CE documentation.
5. Professional Conduct and Confidentiality
Participants are expected to:
Engage respectfully with instructors and fellow participants
Refrain from sharing identifiable client or patient information during discussions
Ensure any case examples are fully de-identified and shared strictly for educational purposes
Violation of confidentiality or professional conduct standards may result in removal from the Course without refund.
6. Limitation of Liability
Participation in the Course is voluntary. Lelia Marino/The Sacral Healing Garden is not responsible for decisions, actions, or outcomes resulting from the application of Course content in professional practice.
The Course does not establish a provider-client, educator-student, or supervisory relationship beyond educational instruction.
7. Course Modifications and Access
We reserve the right to:
Update or modify Course content
Change schedules or instructors
Remove or restrict access due to policy violations or technical issues
8. Termination of Access
Access to the Course may be terminated if a participant violates these Terms of Use, including misuse of intellectual property or unprofessional conduct.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
